Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define experiential marketing strategies and tactics to support business objectives and connect with key regional audience segments

  • Own project management of event programs end-to-end including development of strategy briefs, schedules, production, budget, and reporting

  • Build and lead a dynamic and engaged team to achieve outstanding impact

  • Lead internal cross-functional project teams (creative, PR, integrated etc.) and maintain consistency in strategic direction throughout planning and execution

  • Align with Integrated Marketing, GTM and Digital Marketing programs to generate pipeline

  • Manage external vendor relationships including agencies and freelancers as needed

  • Along with your team, build the APAC events calendar to support our growth objectives

  • Develop and deliver best-in-class event campaigns and initiatives for Merchants, running the spectrum from small and intimate to large-scale standout user experiences both internally and externally

  • Finding speakers and panellists to be involved across regional events

  • Assess the effectiveness of your regional event initiatives, reporting on success metrics, insights, acquisition progression and recommendations

  • Bring your storytelling expertise to help craft a cohesive engagement strategy for our growing vastly broad Merchant base

  • With a clear point of view, drive sophisticated strategies and tactics with measurable results to build Merchant engagement through original and authentic experiences at scale

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in events and experiential marketing with clear and significant business impact and that impact "wow factor"

  • Enjoyment in managing teams, partners and contractors

  • Experience leading and developing regional teams spanning multiple markets

  • Storyteller with the ability to weave authentic experiences with strategic business impact

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details

  • Ability to work collaboratively across global teams; comfortable driving strategy with senior leaders and executives while executing in the trenches with your team

  • A passion for customer experience and brand building, delivered through digital and IRL integrated marketing experiences

  • Impeccable writing skills with a keen eye for remarkable execution and editorial efficiency

  • Exposure to B2B, SaaS and Technology Platforms

  • A quick learner, self-motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet

  • A quick learner, self-motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented

  • Confidence to operate in a quickly changing environment

  • A resourceful attitude and positive negotiation skills - you'll be working with a lot of different teams across Shopify and external ecosystem partners
