Job Description:Job DescriptionAs directed by the designated Licensing Lead or Project Manager, the Senior Licensing Engineer, SG 22, prepares (i.e., authors) and manages the review and comment cycle for assigned portions of a combined license application (COLA) in accordance with 10 CFR 52, Subpart C, and other applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements and guidance. The Senior Licensing Engineer, SG 22, ensures assigned work products are of high quality and are drafted and finalized per the project schedule. The Senior Licensing Engineer, SG 22, also provides licensing support if/as needed to internal engineering and project management resources to address questions on regulatory and licensing topics. The successful candidate will:Author/prepare and validate portions of the COLA Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) as assigned by the COLA Licensing Lead or COLA Project Management.

Ensure that licensing work products are complete, accurate, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and guidance and industry codes and standards, and with the project licensing strategy, procedures, guidance, and commitments.

Coordinate with project team members (both external and internal) to obtain needed input to assigned COLA work products and to ensure consistency between assigned COLA work products and that of other project team members.

Apply planning and organizational skills to ensure that assigned work products are prioritized appropriately to meet project schedule milestones.

Oversee and support interface and interactions with industry groups (e.g., NEI, EPRI, etc.) if/as directed by the responsible manager.

Implement lessons learned and industry best practices as applicable.

Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.

Support the project based out of Houston, TX, or Greenville, SC; however, the possibility to effectively work from a flexible, remote work location is an option.

Perform other duties as assigned.
