After School Teacher

After orientation and training, this position assists in providing care Monday - Friday from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. in a center-based program in Transylvania County.
This individual provides high-quality supplemental teacher support in classrooms for ages between 0-5 and works with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical abilities.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Enrolled in an Early Childhood Associate’s Program or working towards a Child Development Associate (CDA).
Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.

EXPERIENCE:
One year of teaching experience within a NC licensed 5-star child care facility/program. Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.
