Senior Security Architect

Our client in Providence, RI is seeking a full time direct hire Senior Security Architect to work with the Head of Security Architecture to be the technical authority of our client’s enterprise security architecture. The Senior Security Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: build on the existing security architecture to continually improve the security architecture with a large focus on application and cloud areas; be the primary point of contact for the business, IT, project management, and stakeholders for security architecture related matters; lead security architecture reviews; develop and ensure adherence to security architecture best practices and processes for the development and implementation of security solutions; participate in strategic planning; develop and maintain security architecture documentation and artifacts; and conduct threat modeling and security assessments; among other things.To be considered, you must have:• At least 7+ years of formal security architecture and engineering experience• Experience directly managing security architecture and infrastructure including SIEM, log management, endpoint protection, firewalls, WAFs, and IPSs• Experience translating business needs into security architecture requirements and estimating costs of solutions• Strong command of threat modeling methodologies• Experience designing the deployment of applications and infrastructure into public cloud services• Experience with development methodologies and information modelling techniques• Possess an unquenchable thirst for ever increasing knowledge about technology and cyber security• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a proven experience successfully communicating up in an organization and working cross functionally• Solid leadership and organizational skills• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience• Pluses include any security related certifications (CISM, CISSP, GIAC, etc) and experience with architecture methodologies (TOGAF, SABSA, etc)• Note: This position will be onsite as COVID restrictions ease over time
