Job Description Under the supervision of a department director or a group of managers, performs diversified and confidential secretarial duties. Requires an intermediate degree of technical and communications/interpersonal skills, knowledge and ability. May administer/coordinate programs, projects, and/or processes as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities Types memorandums, policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, and other general typing as directed, initiating other documents and correspondence as appropriate.

Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.

Schedules supervisor's appointments; maintains and updates supervisor's daily calendar.

Schedules, coordinates and/or arranges meetings, appointments and/or facilities. Attends meetings and records minutes, as required.

Collects information needed by supervisor for conferences and reports.

Composes letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction or from knowledge of appropriate policy or procedures.

Sets up and maintains files and records which may contain confidential information.

Takes and transcribes dictation of a highly confidential nature.

Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses and statements.

Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.

Opens and routes incoming mail; distributes correspondence and other material to staff.

Administers/coordinates programs, projects, and/or processes as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

2 - 3 years

Minimum Education:

Associate's Degree
