Embedded / Firmware Engineer

Contract

Responsibilities

Responsible for design and development of embedded software/firmware for RF-based products.
To Analyze domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modifications as per end customer or system
requirements.
Participate in High level and low-level firmware design.
Performs software requirements to design to coding to testing traceability
Performs code review following coding guidelines and static code analysis.
Documenting technical deliverables like firmware specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases and test
report, Release note etc. throughout the project life cycle.
Follow defined process for software Development life cycle.

Technical Skills required:

C/C
Experience with microcontroller devices such as 8051, MSP-430, or ARM.
Experience with peripheral buses such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
Experience with other technologies such as security, compression, LEDs, PWM, Accelerometer, and other sensors.
Experience with an IDE such as Eclipse for your development environment and debuggers that use JTAG.
Experience using revision control systems, such as GIT and GITHUB.
Experience using an issue tracking system such as Jira.
Experience using unit testing to test code.
Experience using a scripting language such as python.

Good to have skills:

Experience working with Embedded application development on Embedded platforms.
Should be proficient in using C language on embedded platforms and debugging skills.
Should be proficient in using Python language on embedded platforms and debugging skills.
Experience working with production testing.
Added advantage to having working knowledge/experience on RF technology.
Experience working with development tools like oscilloscope, protocol analyzer, emulator, signal generator, JTAG
programmer, GIT, SVN, and JIRA.
Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.

Education:

Bachelor's / Masters / Ph.D.: BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.

Location:

Onsite at Coopersburg, PA

Pay Range:

$55/hr to $65/hr
