Java Software Developer/ Automation Engineer

Please note that this is a 10 months contract position. Under general direction, develops Web based applications, including online customer service, to enable agency components to deliver their services online. Provides support for the implementation of interfaces to Web-based applications. Performs all functional duties independently. Works on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s). Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.• A minimum of ten (10) years experience in software development or related field;• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred;• Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program;• Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job;• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel;• Working knowledge of/experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC practices;• Knowledge of/experience with the following:•• VersionOne;•• ServiceNow;•• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); and•• Test automation using UFT and/or Selenium.• Excellent communication skills; and• Able to obtain Postal clearance.• The following skills/experience are all required:•• Java/JEE;•• Spring framework;•• Servlets/JSP;•• Javascript/HTML/CSS/XML/JQuery;•• SQL/MyBatis/IBatis;•• UNIX;•• JBoss/WildFly application servers;•• Eclipse/Rapid Application Development (RAD); and•• SQL Developer/Jenkins Enterprise Build system/JUnit/Log4j/ ANT/GRADLE/SVN/GITHUB;• The following skills/experience are a plus:•• Struts/Hibernate frameworks;•• EJB/JPA/JSF/Apache MyFaces/RichFaces/Facelets;•• XHTML/XSLT/DOM/GWT/Angular JS;•• Oracle/MS Access/MYSQL/DB2/SQL Server;•• Windows 2000/NT/XP, Linux;•• WebSphere/TomCat/Weblogic servers;•• Net Beans/My Eclipse; and•• Rational Rose/CVS/MacroMedia tool, Microsoft Visio.Applicants must provide their phone number.
