Hybrid Dev Ops/Software EngineerWe are seeking an entry to mid-level Dev Ops/Software engineer to join our robotics team. Description: Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health Implementing DevOps/SRE automation, developing automation across the stack, and optimizing operations hours by reducing manual operations Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye towards pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of our customer’s needs, and innovating to continually improve Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding Partner with development teams to improve services through helping to develop rigorous testing and release procedures Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning Balance feature development speed and reliability by creating and implementing well-defined service level objectivesAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or certificate in SRE/DevOps Engineering or related field of study or 4+ years of experience Professional Certifications: Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, S3 Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD tolls such as Gitlab and Azure DevOps Knowledge and proven hands-on experience in large-scale databases and distributed technologies (SQL, PostgreSQL) Familiarity with Linux based systems and command line systems Network routing, load balancing and network protocols, a base knowledge of TCP/IP, with and understanding of HTTP and DNS Ability to provide advice, best practices, and recommendations for the operation and deployment of GCP and Azure.
