MISSION:Improve the effectiveness of the Industrial Affairs (IA) organization by applying a transformation approach that follows the Fit4 Future performance methodology. Promote the Manufacturing Excellence mindset by observing processes, identifying gaps vs. best practices, analyzing plant performance, setting the level of ambition, developing improvement solutions and deploying Lean tools and Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) standards.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Fit4Future & the Sanofi Manufacturing System

Apply Fit4Future transformation methodologies to rapidly accelerate performance of the IA organization by improving Ways of Working, Industrial Culture, and Operating Systems. Support the deployment and maturity of the Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) standards to Manufacturing Operating Units and Support Functions (+QDCI, Daily Capacity Management, Skills Matrix, Process Confirmation, Value Stream Board, Obeya, Standard Agenda, Problem Solving etc.)

Ensure alignment of SMS standards with site and corporate requirements; documentation of standards so they can be easily implemented and replicated and auditing areas to the standards that are implemented.

Manufacturing Excellence

Assist functional teams in identification of improvements to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Involvement and ensure alignment with site/function strategy; brainstorming ideas from Gemba walks, shop floor issues coming from performance boards, global and site goals and objectives.

Align activities and improvements to support the Manufacturing Excellence Vision and Mission; evaluate initiatives against the Fit4Future approach, global SMS (Sanofi Manufacturing System) and the ME (Manufacturing Excellence) vision and mission.

Examines the relationship between IA processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Performs detailed analysis to modify, improve and optimize IA processes and optimize KPIs. Assist in the establishment of KPI and performance standards; challenging leading vs lagging indicators, identifying the behaviors the indicators drive and keeping KPIs focused on current issues, and objectives.

SCOPE AND DIMENSIONS:Integrated approach across the total value stream within the plant to improve performance.

Improvements and projects to be focused on improving overall business performance (cycle time, cost, quality and customer service) and will provide significant breakthrough improvements to the business.

Customers : Primarily the IA organization, with cross functional involvement throughout the organization to implement operational or transactional improvement projects.

Impact : Internal and external customer focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Involvement.

Based on the scope of projects, the impact and involvement will be both local and global from the shop floor to the ILT (Industrial Leadership Team) members.

KEY DIMENSIONS:Fit4Future program execution and replication

SMS Deployment and maturity

Adherence to the global and site SMS standards

Creation, improvement and implementation of new/existing performance standards

Workshop planning and execution

Training execution

Execution of activities within the Manufacturing Excellence team to support internal programs

Individual contributor working with cross-functional teams. Responsible for own day to day direction with feedback to Director

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:B.S. in Engineering / Science or other related field required

1-3+ years' experience in:

Facilitating and/or executing Lean/Six Sigma projects

Project management and Lean Manufacturing

Working in a Lean Manufacturing environment in a support/coaching role

Systematically solving problems using appropriate process improvement methodologies to analyze complex data/information from different cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience working as a Change Leader in a Fit4Future transformation program impacting the culture of the organization is preferred

Exhibit strong scientific and analytical understanding of the Antigen manufacturing processes and systems.

Experience with the implementation of a variety of Continuous Improvement tools such as

+QDCI, Daily Capacity Management, Process Confirmation, 5S, Six Sigma, Total Productive

Maintenance, Value Stream Mapping and similar methodologies.

Ability to take theory and break down into practical application for floor personnel

Ability to train and present in front of small or large groups

Ability to create presentations

Ability to understand, analyze and translate data in a way that can be used practically

Ability to provide coaching techniques and practices (behaviors)
