Summary: Overall, this person will be supporting our client's Commercial Outsourcing Services (COS).The COS is a market-leading analytics outsourcing division of our client that helps manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry meet the challenges of today's complex and evolving market landscape. COS uses the power of healthcare data to help its clients via long-term data analytics, forecasting, project management, and reporting services. COS engages with clients in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences space and provides deep insight into patient, payer, and prescriber behavior. We help our clients make effective decisions regarding strategies for sales and marketing execution, payer, and patient strategies, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the development, delivery, and management of forecasting, and related consulting projects
  • Deploy to onsite engagement anywhere in the United States, location dependent on business demands; all assignments involve onsite presence at client locations
  • Manage projects and work streams independently
  • Lead projects and initiatives with indirect oversight over analysts and communication with clients
  • Analyze secondary data and desk market research (quantitative and qualitative) to identify key findings and trends
  • Should be able work on Market and Epidemiology Assessment, Pipeline Analysis and Market Research, Forecasting Inline and Pipeline products
  • Create and lead quantitative or qualitative analysis to support client deliverables and issues
  • Independently create presentations for clients; Attend, support and independently present at client meetings
  • Assist in developing detailed documentation and specifications, including business process documentation, SOPs, client data scorecards
  • Work willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goal, both internally and externally
  • Develop broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities
  • Potentially contribute internally to the COS team in a number of ways including:
    • Support the recruitment of new hires
    • Lead and mentor individuals through people management
    • Participate in learning communities to build up subject-matter expertise
    • Develop and benefit from training content available to the entire team.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of pharmaceutical commercial business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Strong knowledge in the following Microsoft platforms: Access, Excel and PowerPoint It is a strong preference to have a candidate with experience in Excel VBA, @Risk, Crystal Ball, Flexicast®, Spotfire, SAS and/or SPSS
  • Demonstrate analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, leading meetings, business, and report writing
  • Excellent project management capabilities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistent, high quality outcomes
  • Prior healthcare data experience is a plus: National and sub-national data (Physician, Patient, claims and epidemiology)
  • Experience in developing and applying advanced excel/VBA models that helps clients understand dynamic business issues.
  • Experience in developing therapy area forecast structure, forecast model input assessment through primary and/or desk research to derive insights and inform client decision making Qualifications:
  • In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining the client as a Senior Consultant should have:
  • Undergraduate or Master's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience in forecasting in healthcare industry
  • An avid interest in the healthcare analytics and data; understanding of the healthcare market in US
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales & marketing business principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Exceptional written, numerical, and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
