Job Description
Role overviewThe Implementation Engineer I, reporting to ImplementationEngineer II, will be in an Agile Sprint team working with Project Managers, Implementation Engineers, Data Ingestion Engineers and partner technical contacts to deliver and support Single Sign On (SSO) integrations on Accolade’s Cloud Platform(ACP). As a member of this agile team, you’ll be doing story grooming, planning, daily stand-up, SSO integration activities and supporting technical discussions regarding SSO. Once the SSO integrations are in place, you will be managing proactive, as well as reactive, stories and incident tickets.
A day in the life…- You will be largely working on customer implementation for Single Sign On integrations between Accolade Cloud Platform and external partner sites. These SSO integrations will be both inbound to Accolade and outbound from Accolade.
- All required work will be documented into epics, stories and tasks into our backlogs. You will work with the rest of the team to groom, plan and commit to stories for sprint (2 weeks) deliveries.
- Works with the Project Managers, Implementation Engineers, Data Ingestion Engineers and partner technical contacts to determine the requirements and solution for each SSO integration. You are expected to utilize critical thinking and analytic skills to define requirements and integration definitions for new and existing integrations.
- Documents these requirements and solutions within Confluence and creates required Jira epics and stories.
- Implements the SAML metadata from each partner in Keycloak and ensures the user identification data required to authenticate each user is available. If the required user identification data is not available, works directly or with dependent teams to map and configure this data at ingestion into ACP.
- Profiles data to ensure the data used by the SSO integration is sufficient and accurate. Proactively takes action when data quality could cause authentication issues.
- Creates test cases, test users, test plans as well as executes test cases to ensure proper connection and successful authentication while managing issue logs, triaging bugs and driving issues to resolution.
- Investigates failures, performs root cause analysis and utilizes internal defect tracking tool to create detailed, high quality error reports. Verifies fixes for defects and new features work as expected and do not cause regressions in affected areas. Analyzes bug trends/patterns and customer feedback to drive for better customer experiences.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for Accolade SSO integrations and on the universion of user identification data received from Accolade’s inbound data partners.
- Works with Data Ingestion Engineers interactively to review the mappings and all other specs of the requirements to ensure user identification data are implemented correctly when loading inbound data to ACP. You will be required to coordinate and facilitate consistency of the data model across multiple initiatives and leverage the Accolade standards for all existing and future customers.
- Outside day to day sprint work, we provide opportunities for new technology and cross functional trainings, and encourage people to work on innovation projects. There will be opportunities to work on other aspects of customer data implementiations.
