- Searching for a Mechanical Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA Job Summary: This position leads all engineering efforts for the project team to coordinate site visits, work directly with the Client, develop conceptual design documents, direct Mechanical Designer(s), sizing of system components, equipment selection and system layouts for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. Designs are created utilizing the latest versions within the Autodesk family of products (ie, AutoCad, Revit, etc).Technical Skills Required: Mechanical or Architectural Engineering Bachelor of Science degree. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Engineer in Training and be on track to obtaining a Professional Engineering License in the near future. Candidates should possess a minimum of (3) years of experience. Experience working with AutoCAD is required. Experience with REVIT is a plus. Educational (K-12 and Higher Education) and experience in a consulting engineering, Design Build Contracting or Energy Services Company (ESCO) environment is a plus. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Mechanical Engineer Requirements: Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify system operating inefficiencies within a facility; analyzes utility bills; analyzes financials Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers by creating technical plans both written and schematic to convey solutions and risk Identify and work with subcontractors and consultants to provide technical analysis and descriptions for project installation and to ensure the quality of work delivered exceeds the requirements of the job Support the sales teams by attending client meetings and presentations Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations Demonstrate good leadership and communication skills Provide quality customer service and follow-up to customers as needed Interface with customers all levels and coordinate the status of upcoming projects Other duties as assigned Possible Travel Preferred technical skills and attributes: Desire to work in energy efficiency Ability to set and manage priorities Good organizational, analytical and problem solving ability Ability to work well with the sales and engineering teams Knowledge of general construction experience Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
