Position Description The best version of us starts with YOU. We are hiring a Senior developer with leadership experience who has skills in Java and Python. This role is a leadership role that will be split between hands on work, mentoring and leading others, and client communication.At CGI, you get to build solutions as a full time consultant with a world-class IT company. Take your talents to a company that inspires growth and values your ideas.Your future duties and responsibilities• Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.• Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.• Iterative feature development on an agile team.• Develop testable features with lean requirements and supervision.• Daily agile SCRUM participation.• Leadership of both CGI and client team including offshoreRequired qualifications to be successful in this role• 5+ years' experience as a Java/J2EE developer with 8+ years of overall experience as a developer.• 2+ years' experience as a Python developer• Strong aptitude for learning on the fly, embracing new technologies, and willingness to make stretch goals• Experience with java frameworks (Spring Batch, Sprint Boot)• Exposure to UI development (Angular, HTML, CSS)• Strong experience with web services (WSDL, Restful)• Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests.• Experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)• Some experience with NoSQL (specifically Mongo) is highly desired• Experience with GIT version control• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently• Ability to mentor and lead others• Ability to communicate with the client at the technical director levelDesired Skills:• Angular• Sprint Boot• Spring Batch• MongoDB Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related IT field or equivalent combination of experience and education What CGI Offers We offer a competitive compensation package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
