We are currently seeking an Open Access Content Flow Specialistto join our new and expanding Content Flow team, as part of our Global Peer Review department.
Reporting to the Open Access Content Flow Manager, the Open Access Content Flow Specialist will deliver continuous process improvement across all editorial office tasks to transform our services to authors and enable fast and efficient flow of submissions on our Open Access portfolio of journals contributing to revenue and growth targets

What you will be doing:
Assisting with the development and rollout of process and policy improvements across the Open Access portfolio to ensure fast and efficient flow of submissions through our peer review systems
Regular journal auditing and TAT monitoring at each stage in the peer review process on a developing portfolio of Open Access journals - identifying and investigating areas for improvement.
Assisting in the facilitation of training & communications around new and developing processes to enable improvements to content flow through our submission system platforms
Acting as a point of escalation for outsourced editorial office administrators, liaising and collaborating with the Senior and Deputy OA Content flow Managers where appropriate.Qualifications
What we are looking for:
Understanding of Open Access (OA) publishing, preferably Journals
Excel skills including ability to retrieve data from multiple sources, some experience of preparing data for numerical and categorical analysis.
Some experience of communicating data via clean, visually compelling charts that help others understand.
Interest in developing industry and market awareness
Interest in data or workflow analysis (experience of Six Sigma process would be advantageous)
Basic project management skills and understanding of Agile methodologies
Support and contribute to delivery of business results
Teamwork, networking and building relationships
Calm and logical response under pressure
Being responsible for managing own workload
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise appropriately and work to deadlines
