Einstein campuses are Tobacco and Smoke Free.In this role you will assume immediate responsibility for:Verifying patient demographics in HIS and input all necessary corrections.Verifying health insurance coverage, including all supplemental coverage, for all outpatient accounts using payer websites when possible according to established procedures and timeframesUtilizing knowledge of insurance carrier requirements to ensure patient eligibility and adequacy of benefits.Obtaining required patient and insurance data elements as outlined in the Registration Documentation Standards.Obtaining precerts, referrals and all other appropriate documentation for accounts according to established procedures and timeframes when required by the insurance carrier for proper reimbursement.Interacting with Physician offices when needed to obtain precertsAttempt to secure all scheduled accounts one business day prior to admission or day of service.Attempt to collect co-pays on all outpatients as governed by the Third party payor.If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:High school graduate or equivalent with courses in medical terminology requiredGood typing and computation skills requiredKnowledge of medical terminology requiredComputer literacy requiredExcellent interpersonal skills requiredMinimum 2 years related work experience, 1 year of insurance verification, financial counseling, or experience in a hospital setting preferredOne year registration and billing experience preferredWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
