Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY: This is a key inter-departmental position supporting the Procurement Department as well as the Design and Account Management Teams. Approximately 70% of the time in the former and 30% in the latter. This person has to be a self-starter – loves to operate with limited supervision and work across multiple areas of responsibilities in the company. If you like to have a fully structured day and it repeats weekly, do not apply. Instead, if you enjoy doing different tasks daily, based on the needs of the business then we hope to hear from you. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.HOURS AND PAY PERIOD: M-F 8am – 5pm or as needed to achieve company objectives and fulfill client needs. Hourly / Non-Exempt position - pay period: Bi-Weekly.REPORTING STRUCTIRE: This position reports to: Procurement & TS Supervisor. Reporting to this position are: NonePRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Part of the phone answering team
- Maintain inventory of safety items
- Assisting with inventory
- Assisting with deliveries and receiving items
- Assisting with inputting manufacturer information into our ERP software system
- Assisting in forms design and maintenance in our ERP software system
- Maintain parking lot/building using internal and external support resource
- Research and development of programs
- Assist with writing proposals/updating estimates/fielding supply only orders/supporting account acquisition efforts when requested
- Assist with any research necessary by the accounts team
- Assist with warehouse maintenance, including but not limited to, inventory control, clean-up, etc.
- May be required to sit in interviews, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
TRAINING/EDUCATION EXPECTATIONS:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette capabilities.
- Organizational & Time management skills required.
- Geographical knowledge of service area and/or map reading skills
- Ability to work well independently and as a team member
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task
- Problem Solving skills and ability to escalate matters when needed
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
- Speed and accuracy with attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills including with proficiency using the Microsoft suite of products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
