- Develop and support security systems in a hybrid cloud architecture
- Provide research and analysis for planning, organizing, and managing project related security tasks
- Monitor security threats, analyze vulnerability assessments, and balance security with business rules/needs
- Possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently
- Establish collaborative working relationships with the business units to ensure IT security policies and standards enable a secure and scalable environment
- Evaluate new security technologies to better improve efficiencies, security posture and meet business objectives
- Maintain a detailed understanding of Information Security frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO, HIPAA, and SOX
- Take ownership for researching and providing input to the overall Information Security strategy.
- Effectively communicate and present risk context in a highly collaborative work environment.
- Be a strong and pragmatic technologist with a creative mind.
- Collaborate with line of business architects, engineers, developers, application owners, service providers, and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent education and experience. In Lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
- 6+ years' experience of growing responsibility in network security or systems security engineering supporting hybrid cloud technologies.
- 2+ years functioning as a Security Engineer
- Experience with the following: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Mobile Device Management (MDM), Group Policy Management, Network Access Control (NAC), Certificates Authority Services and Certificate automation, Server hardening and SIEM Infrastructure management
- Ability to display an in-depth understanding of the latest trends related to Cyber Security and Technology.
- Proven ability and experience securing large sophisticated private cloud enterprise architectures or systems deployed in public cloud.
- Aptitude and experience in performing threat modeling/data flow diagramming / risk analysis, identifying bugs and flaws, and driving work items from these activities to resolution.
- Deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between information security, database, middleware, network infrastructure, and application services
- Shown ability to handle multiple projects/workstreams and demands efficiently
- Possess a firm grasp of the offerings within VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Technical knowledge in three or more of the following areas: Routing, Firewalls, Anti-DDoS, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Identity and authentication, virtualization, DevSecOps, NAC, Group Policy, Zero Trust, DLP, CASB, certificate services
- Experience securing SOAP, REST, WebAPI, etc.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization platforms
- Strong dedication to quality customer service
- Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and use standard methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
- Healthcare experience a plus.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
