A leading mortgage subservicing company is seeking a Compliance & Risk Analyst to join the team in Yardley, PA. This is a 8 month contract with the potential to convert full time after the contracting period.The team is 100% remote right now, but once they transition back to the office they will be looking for a candidate to work a hybrid onsite schedule in the office located near Langhorne, PA.

Job Summary: The Compliance & Risk Analyst is responsible for execution of the assigned Compliance Testing and/or consumer compliance related matters. This position has assigned responsibilities for completing the Compliance Testing in accordance with the Compliance Testing Procedures and Schedule. In addition, this position monitors the first line of defense testing results focusing on findings, trends, and the effectiveness of root cause analysis and remediation plans implemented in the first line.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews regulatory requirements for applicability to operational units and documents compliance risks appropriately.
  • Works closely with business partners and leadership, to revise and update the compliance risk and requirement library
  • Answers day to day consumer compliance related requests and questions
  • Works regulatory change management assigned items within the effective date timeframes.
  • Works with the applicable areas to assess impact, assign ownership, review and approve management action plans, approve amended policies, procedures, job aides, training, changes risk control self-assessments, and QC testing questions and parameters.
  • Performs surveillance over key operational and risk reports, including complaint management that details noncompliance or the risk of noncompliance.
  • Perform analysis on these reports looking for red flags to determine where to perform deeper dives or analysis to detect potential systemic issues
  • Reviews enforcement actions, regulatory bulletins, and supervisory announcements to identify emerging regulatory risks, and advises other internal stakeholders and industry SME’s regarding such risks
  • Executes the assigned Compliance Testing within the timeframe outlined in the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Schedule
  • Works with the Business Control Manager and applicable Business Line Management team ensuring all testing results are properly vetted

Compliance Data
  • Works with various software tools including SQL, Access Databases, Visual Basic, Visio, Monarch, Tableau, Cenbase (an internal reporting system), Black Knight (MSP), etc.
  • Prepares validation reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends for the pre-defined KRIs/KPIs
  • Partners in developing Key Metrics used to monitor Business Compliance Risk and drive process efficiencies within the first line of defense.
  • Performs ad-hoc data queries or reports at the request of management
  • Partners with Technology team on monthly build and output of Key Risk/Performance Indicators and provide support to Compliance and Business when modifications to the underlying criteria/logic are needed
  • Provides technical support to Compliance Management on various initiatives and projects.
  • Partners with stakeholders to document data sources, various requirements, and other key information
  • Provides subject matter expertise for analytical based processes within team

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience in compliance in mortgage banking compliance or mortgage lending/ servicing compliance
  • 2-3 years of experience using various software tools including SQL, Access Databases, Visual basic, Visio, Monarch, Tableau etc
  • Must have a compliance, risk, audit background
  • Must have proficency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and working knowledge of Sharepoint.
  • Aptitude to learn new tools- GRC related and BlackKnight would be a plus
  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes, operations and activities, and requirements of a mortgage servicing company
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Certification is a plus
  • The successful candidate for this position must be able to build effective relationships with a proven ability to build trust and credibility through strong interpersonal skills, communications, actions, and presence
  • Strong knowledge of compliance risk management concepts, data, frameworks, systems, methods, and good governance practice
