Strategic Sourcing Manager – Energy

Job Description

• Develops and implements energy cost reduction strategies
• Responsible for managing the sourcing of electricity and natural gas for over 50 facilities; 65M in annual spend
• Other energy strategies include demand response programs and energy tariff optimization
• Also manages energy efficiency programs at the plants; LED lighting, water and air programs, and other sustainability initiatives
• Evaluates and selects new suppliers; issues RFPs, negotiates contacts; leverages national or regional suppliers
• Conducts VA / VE analysis and presents findings to management team
• Manages supplier facing issues related to Cost, Quality, Delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar
• Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar discipline
• Experience with injection molding, blow molding, palletizers, vison inspection, other down-stream equipment is helpful
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations including preparing and administering Long Term Agreements
• Proven effectiveness in working in a global, multicultural environment
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate concisely at all levels inside and outside the company
• Strong ability to lead, communicate and act in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
• Action oriented with proven track record of achieving business goals
• Team builder, motivator and team player
• Strategic thinker; uses creative and innovative problem solving approach to achieve Key Success Factors
• High personal and professional integrity
• Ability to travel 30% or as required
