Description:The primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out the safe and correct operation of the mix-making process, maintain an accurate inventory of all ingredients and materials needed, and to communicate with the various department team members to ensure safe and high-quality ice cream mix is delivered to the correct manufacturing areas.Our benefits include: Consistent Overtime Pay – Average 45-50 hours per week, with overtime after 40 hours. Earn $22.13/hour after 60 days - $33.20/hour per OT hour 100% Company-Paid healthcare and life insurance for the employee 401K with company matchJob Responsibilities Understand the basic flow of ice cream production from receiving, mix formulation, production, storage, and distribution. This position will require training and proficiency in all aspects of mix formulation and bulk ingredient receiving. Understand, apply, and maintain the application of the HACCP/HARPC plan. Review and retrieve dry goods from the warehouse and place in orderly fashion for the night runs. Review recipes with the batch operator and figure out slurry numbers for the nights mixes. Work on weekly task sheets each night when not dumping. Responsible for washing the tanks and machines when batching is complete. Operate with safety, quality, and teamwork in mind throughout the shift. Follow all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; use all required safety equipment. Maintain quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment. Any additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. Must be able to lift 60 pounds continuously throughout shift. Must be able to perform routine maintenance tasks in a confined area such as tanks or tankers. Ability to work in a team environment and be cross-functional. Hours may vary depending on role (6 pm – 5 am or work is complete) Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, be organized, and detail oriented. Experience in dairy/food processing a plus.Skills:operator, food production, ProductionAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes Experience or training in manufacturing/food manufacturing or supply-chain environment is preferred Must be able to work pre-scheduled Day or Night shifts – schedules created with plenty of notice Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions with high level of detail Physical requirements: ability to work 8+ hour shifts, lift and carry up to 60 pounds, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive motions, and work in an environment with varying temperatures Must be able to get to work independently on time, every dayExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
