- Perform hardware and maintenance, software installations, and scheduled upgrades on core internal systems.
- Participate in the configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of servers with the clients virtualized hosting environment.
- Work with the Network Engineering Team to develop and implement security procedures and policies for across all technology.
- Serve as a liaison between the Network Engineering Team and the Technology Support Team to develop project plans for initiatives, to include impact on different sub-teams in the technology department as well as across the member districts.
- Efficiently manage and prioritize long-term project while multi-tasking day-to-day operations.
- Manage the configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of the Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) and Mobile Device management (MDM) systems.
- Utilize system resources to automate tasks, maintenance, patching, and software installation
- Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenance on all systems and internal environments.
- Efficiently troubleshoot hardware and software problems by performing root-cause analysis.
- Establish and maintain a documentation library for processes, policies, as well as technical data covering both internal systems and networks.
- Administer organizational systems including audio-visual systems, conference management, and networked digital signage.
- Maintain critical system backups in accordance with defined retention policies and perform data recovery as needed.
- Establish and maintain instructional material and documentation used to train staff on new existing technologies.
- Send detailed communications about upcoming project or outages to the staff.
- Maintain software licensing and subscriptions.
- Lead desktop and help desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or acceded by the network.
- Associate degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
- System Administration and IT Certifications in Microsoft or other network related fields preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional systems administration or similar technology experience required.
- In-dept knowledge of Windows server environment, Active Directory and Group Policy Management required.
- Working knowledge of VMWare or virtualization technologies required.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools required.
- Strong knowledge of software, hardware, and networking protocols required.
- Knowledge of implementing industry best practices for security, storage, and disaster recovery protocols required.
- Experience with databased, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management required.
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery required.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
