Reference #: 4801087ROLE SUMMARYThe Rare Neuroscience Medical Affairs Senior Director supports the development of strategies for clinical research and data generation while strongly engaging with the Community. She/he is accountable for ensuring that medical affairs plans supporting the asset and the BU are successfully developed to achieve short- and long-term objectives in alignment with overall business goals. He/she partners with external experts to inform business planning and clinical development. The Rare Neuroscience Medical Affairs Senior Director will collaborate with country medical affairs teams to understand major unmet medical needs and medical environment including HCP and patient perspective, regulatory and access dynamics at the country level and integrates needs and insights to co-create a global medical affairs plan. The Rare Neuroscience Medical Affairs Senior Director combines the scientific and medical expertise with understanding of patients and physicians point of view within the Therapeutic Area. She/he provides medical affairs and clinical expertise and leadership specific to the therapeutic area. He/she is an integral part of a working environment where colleagues always understand and exhibit patient centric medical affairs professionalism with integrity.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESCo-Leads RWD collection platform across the enterprise for DMDLeads HCPs and Patients Advisory boards to generate insights into the Non Ambulatory patient population and gene therapy patient journeySupports development and execution of overall medical plan and commercial activities within a Global framework in partnership with country Medical Affairs colleagues by ensuring medical plans support short- and long-term objectives in alignment with overall business goalsProactively partners with team members within RU and GPD to align priorities for Rare Neuroscience PortfolioProactively partners with GPD clinical and operation colleagues to support phase 3 programs and patient recruitment strategyEstablishes strong relationships with the Community (Patient Advocacy Groups, Scientific/Medical Societies/Payors)Serves as a conduit and resource for customer insights pertaining to disease areas and Pfizer assets.
