Job Title: Intermediate Process and Tools Specialist Location: Allentown, PA 18101 Duration: 1 year, possible extension Remote candidates will be accepted for this role. Job Summary: The IT Process & Tools Specialist identifies, creates, and maintains the enterprise IT process models. They define process flows & identify the decision makers, information needs, and escalation points in a given process. Manages & maintains tools to be used by IT organization, and ensures they adhere to standards & guidelines. The Intermediate level uses established procedures under moderate guidance and direction from supervisor or more senior level Process and Tools Specialists. Primary Responsibilities: Performs a variety of assignments and solves problems using established procedures in the below areas.

  • Collaborates with Architecture, Technology, Information, and Security teams to define light-weight governance framework including governance bodies, charters, and accountabilities for the new organization and implements controls
  • Defines process flows for IT groups & identifies the decision makers, information needs and escalation points in a given process
  • Applies all principles, standards, policies and governance frameworks put in place for the new IT organization
  • Continually surveys the organization for areas to improve processes and tools
  • Coordinates with Transformation group to build process into new products
  • Uses process requirements to identify key IT tools needed for the Organization
  • Develops & maintains tools to be used by IT organization and ensures they adhere to standards & guidelines
  • Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers. May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related work experience OR 6 years of related work experience
    • Strong knowledge of service development, delivery, operations and relationship management
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Project management experience
