This position involves concurrent medical record review as well as education and interaction with physicians, HIM Coders and others involved in the care of the patient.Minimum Requirements: Advanced Practice Clinician with current Pennsylvania State licensure. Medical Staff credentialing required only if practicing in a clinical setting.Minimum of five - seven years of recent advanced clinical experience and extensive knowledge of complex disease processes in an acute care hospital setting.Ability to establish and maintain strong verbal and written communication with providers and other clinicians. Essential technical/motor skills: requires excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication.Preferred Qualifications: CCDS or CDIP certification preferred upon hire; mandatory within 1-2 years of employment.Minimum of 1-2 years Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) or Coding experience in an acute care facility. Experience assigning Working DRG based on coding guidelines/ regulations issued by AHA, CMS, and AHIMA.Licensure and Certifications: Advanced Practice Clinician;Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania required.#LI-ML1Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
