BWilsonville, Oregon 97007The primary responsibility of this position is to perform coordinated follow up on Medicare, managed care and primary payer claims for Avamere Health Services locations.Responsibilities/Qualifications/SkillsetResponsibilities:Communicate with Avamere Health Services locations regarding outstanding claims and the pay statuses for their location.

Investigate and resolve bill errors.

Check claim statuses through Medicare DDE system and variousHMO websites.

Work with various insurance companies to complete payment of claims.

Research accounts thoroughly and document processes for each claim status.

Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent; additional education or training preferred.

1+ years of experience in medical claims collections.

Knowledgeable of Medicare Part A claims and payment processes highly preferred.

Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone demeanor.

Excellent communication and verbal skills (both written and oral) in order to effectively problem solve with other employees, all levels of Avamere staff and third parties external to Avamere.

Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to maintain accurate records, provide consistent follow through and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimal assistance.

Must be able to work effectively and efficiently; independently and unsupervised.

Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality and honesty.

Proven capability for effective use of computer systems including spreadsheet, word processing and email software.

Understanding of modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment.
