Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help lead the effort to build our Compliance Automation product in Microsoft Azure. Essentially, this is a ‘port’ of our existing flagship product in AWS rewritten to work in Azure.

This position will work with our Principal DevOps Architect to ensure the product meets requirements and matches feature parity as closely as possible with our existing AWS offering. This position will primarily be responsible for writing Terraform code to create and manage Azure resources (Virtual Networks, Virtual Machines, Firewall Rules, etc.).

• Develop, test, deploy, and optimize IAC code (Terraform)
• Develop, test, deploy, and optimize Configuration Management code (Ansible)
• Develop and configure Test Automation solutions (Chef Inspec)
• Configuration and management of Azure services
• Provisioning automation using CI/CD and IaC tools
• Understanding of security principals and compliance frameworks
• Automate the deployment, configuration, and management of complex cloud environments
• Work with MSSP analysts to troubleshoot and analyze incidents

Qualifications

• 4+ years working with CI/CD pipelines (build, deploy, test)
• 3+ years working in Azure architecture, configuration, and management
• 2+ year test automation development
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with interpreted languages such as Ruby or Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, etc

• Deep knowledge of Linux distros: deployment, management, and security
• SQL DB configuration and management
• Understanding of security data and controls
• Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work directly with clients, troubleshoot issues, and work toward a solution

• Experience with Splunk or any other SIEM product
• Familiarity with additional Azure services (Virtual Networks, Directory Services, etc…)
• Experience with GitLab, and the Atlassian stack
