Job Description

Responsibilities

Senior Security Architects for Azure perform as a lead subject matter expert and architect of security and Azure cloud engineering for both Anitian's Azure security automation platform as well as both the managed security and assessment teams and their clients. Senior Security Architects for Azure are deep security and IT generalists, but apply their expansive Azure cloud and security platform experience to an ever-changing set of problems.

They work in tandem with the development team and other organization members to identify and communicate security requirements and concerns for Anitian products and services. They are also comfortable conveying related security and compliance cloud concepts to high-level client stakeholders. Senior Security Architects for Azure are adaptable at expanding and applying their security and cloud technology experience to keep up with industry, client, and platform needs.

Senior Security Architect - Azure - 100%

Senior Security Architects for Azure require strong Azure experience, as well as general IT, security and automation knowledge.

  • Research and lead implementation of security and compliance controls for Anitian platforms and services in Azure including:

    • Azure security, compliance, and visibility services
    • SIEM such as Elastic Stack and Azure Sentinel
    • Next Generation Firewalls such as Fortigate
    • Cloud or virtual servers (Linux and Windows)
    • Container infrastructures such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AKS
    • Container security platforms
    • Vulnerability scanning and management such as Tenable.SC, Qualys, and SAINT
    • Endpoint Protection Platforms such as Trend Micro and Carbon Black
    • Web Application Firewalls

  • Convey and advise security controls in Azure such as FIM, IPS, DLP, configuration management and code repository
  • Convey and advise on FIPS 140-2, PKI, DNS, remote access, and other infrastructure security technologies
  • Lead or provide escalated internal consultation to development resources on platform automations
  • Troubleshoot platform automations using platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, and ARM
  • Lead architecture consultation engagements with clients and internal resources
  • Document Standard Operation Procedures

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least five years of IT experience including system and network administration
  • At least five years experience with common enterprise security platforms such as NGFW, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management
  • At least two years experience with Azure
  • Prior experience with FedRAMP or NIST 800-53 compliance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing technology landscape
  • Effective ability to understand and implement complex systems
  • Minimum Associate-level networking, including Next Generation firewall administration

Expertise in:

  • Public and private cloud such as Azure
  • SIEM such as Splunk and Elastic Stack
  • Next Generation Firewalls such as Fortigate
  • Operating system and application security best practices
  • Vulnerability scanning and management
  • Endpoint Protection Platforms such as Trend Micro and Carbon Black
  • Windows and Linux servers
  • Common application servers and services such as Apache and LDAP
  • Cloud platform cost design
  • SIEM query languages and syntax
  • Configuration management such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Private Key Infrastructure
  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Web Application Firewalls
  • File Integrity Monitoring, Data Loss Prevention, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention
  • Endpoint security best practices
  • Genial, professional attitude and communication

Education, Certifications and Training

  • Prior FedRAMP or NIST 800-53 preferred but not required
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Relevant certificates evaluated, but not required
