We are looking for a reliable, personable, honest, and hardworking individual to join our team full-time as a Medical Receptionist. We are a growing clinic with acupuncture, massage, naturopathic medicine. Candidates must have strong administrative skills, professionalism, attention to detail and organizational skills. A passion for wellness and natural health is a plus!
This job requires excellent attendance and reliability. Only reliable candidates please apply. Be able to cover a 36-40 hour work week as we continue to grow. Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday.

Requirements must include:

Comfortable managing a busy clinic and all facets of patient care
Medical billing experience or knowledge preferred
Some marketing abilities, comfortable with assisting with pamphlets and online advertising or social media.
Essential Tasks:
Overseeing daily and weekly schedules for seven providers at Love Acupuncture & Wellness Group
Maintain email/voicemail/text systems for patient communication
Managing patient flow from lobby to treatment rooms
Utilizing software for medical records (we use Jane)
Preauthorizing OHP/Work Comp cases
Verify paperwork and online questionnaires of patients is complete, scan & upload files accordingly
Answer telephone and kindly respond to questions, schedule appointments, direct calls, and take messages
Verify insurance for patients both on the phone and through online portals
Collect payments
Support Naturopathic physician in ordering labs, calling in prescriptions, processing record requests
Process and maintain inventory of herbs and supplements
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed and within skill scope
Ability to work proficiently and efficiently in a timely manner.
Maintain strict confidentiality about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures.
Ability to communicate with patients, our billing department, the insurance company representatives and law office managers.
Handle all patient scheduling
Respond to patient inquiries
Daily cleaning, setup and stocking of treatment rooms
Daily cleaning of clinic, office and reception area
Laundry

Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED.
Must have background or training in ICD-10 codes, and CPT codes.
Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.
Excellent computer skills, minimum: (type 35 wpm, 10 key), MS Office applications and Medical Records Software.
Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure.
Must have managerial skills and very excellent communication skills
Must be able to handle stress seamlessly
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent memory needed for procedures, patient names and scripting
Detail oriented, well organized, critical thinking skills, independent & responsible
Good communication skills, personable, capable of multi-tasking, hardworking and efficient
Maintain professionalism at all times and provide excellent customer service to all clinic staff and customers alike.
Experience:
Front Office Receptionist : 2 yr Medical receptionist or equivalent education
Microsoft Word - working knowledge (required)
Standard Office Machines - working knowledge (required)
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations (required)
Compensation is based on experience.
Medical and administrative experience.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Hours - 35-40 hours/week - Tuesday-Saturday - some days will be closing the clinic until 6-6:30pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience
COVID-19 considerations:
We're following standard rules regarding cleaning and sanitizing in a small medical clinic. Our staff and patients wear masks and we are scheduling as many appointments as possible as telemedicine. Our front desk has a plexiglass barrier.
