If so, UCP Oregon might have the perfect job for you! We’re seeking a part-time Children’s Support Professional who will work with a young man that experiences autism.

Together, you’ll participate in various activities such as going for walks in the park, listening to music, reading, or simply chatting. You’ll also be supporting him with navigating his emotions and assisting with some elements of personal care, such as transfers, toileting, and cooking. He may also need assistance during phone and Zoom appointments.

The family is looking for approximately 15-hours of in-home support throughout the week. This young man needs support on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm, Thursdays after 3:30pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays after 5pm, and negotiable hours on the weekends. You will work with the family to determine your scheduled hours based on their availability and your availability within the framework listed above.

$13.91 per hour. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.

Paid sick leave.

Mileage reimbursement if choosing to drive for UCP.

Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Be at least 18 years old.

Have a high school diploma or GED.

One year of experience with children, or providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Be able to pass our pre-hire screenings: a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.

Drivers preferred—if choosing to drive for UCP, you must be at least 21 years old (a requirement of our auto insurance program), have a current driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least three years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a relatively clean driving record.
