POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Room Attendant(Housekeeper)

Basic Function:

Responsible for cleaning rooms and property as assigned with strong emphasis on safety.

Scope:

1. Responsible for cleanliness of assigned guest rooms.

2. Carts to be kept in a neat, orderly fashion and stocked with proper supplies.

3. Knowledge of hotel restaurant, lounge, pool area, and banquet facilities.

Work Performed:

1. Cleaning bathrooms, including tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors.

2. Cleaning of bedroom areas, including:

3. Changing sheets each day, unless a stay-over or on guest request.

4. Emptying and cleaning trash containers.

5. Dusting.

6. Replacement of used articlesnote paper, towels, etc.

7. Airing rooms.

8. Checks for any broken itemsreplace light bulbs and notify maintenance if repairs needed.

9. Changes spreads and blankets if soiled or after pet use.

10. Notifies supervisor of any lost-and-found guest items left in room.

11. Responds to guest questions respectfully and promptly. If unable to answer the question, concern, immediately contacts a supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Follows instructions and performs any other duties requested by Housekeeper.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to stand on feet for entire shift. Bend, stoop, lift, twist, reach. Repetitive motion. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds alone or 100 pounds with assistance.
