Kitchen Manager (Ashland)

Our ideal leaders have experience with team building, staff training and development along with experience directing a team of back of house professionals. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, creative individual to support and enhance our our restaurant.

Key duties:

- Responsible for quality food preparation and service; food appearance; cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas, equipment and employee appearance.

- Develop recipes and portion specifications in accordance with consumer tastes, nutritional needs, product specifications, ease of preparation and established procedures and budgetary constraints; participate in other menu planning activities to include the determination of purchasing specifications, product and recipe testing and menu development.

- Hire, on-board and manage BOH staff. Competent to work and train all kitchen positions.

- Foster a collaborative work environment with the front of the house staff

- Perform other related duties as assigned

If you are someone that consistently looks to improve business, yourself and others - you will be successful in the position. As a team leader and motivator for the kitchen staff, strong interpersonal and leadership skills as well as being a clear communicator is a necessity. This role requires someone that is able to maintain a calm presence during high volume meal periods and stressful situations.

Education & Experience:

Ideal candidates will have several years of prior cooking experience in a fast paced high volume kitchen, a successful tenure as a kitchen supervisor with responsibilities in inventory management and staffing and training. An associate's degree or related culinary degree is a plus, but is not a requirement.
