Job Title:Software Development EngineerRole Overview:Develops software as the primary job function; Designs, develops, debugs & tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web. May work directly with companies developing and optimizing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies. Hands on Cloud experience with cloud providers like GCP/AWS/Azure.

Ability to lead and provide guidance to colleagues.

Create modular components with well-defined APIs to allow flexible and easy integration into existing development infrastructures and workflows.

Approve design reviews, code inspections and code reviews.

Guide and outline work for engineers when developing and delivering services.

Work with program management team and customer outreach to understand customer requirements when implementing solutions.

Solve technical problems related to existing features in production such as AWS test environments, On-Prem test environments.

Provide suggestions to improve quality and comply with architectural, design and coding best practices.

Ability to troubleshoot applications issues and bugs.

About You:Your background includes 2+ years of developing software using common software development practices such as Kanban, code reviews and continuous delivery.

Expert in at least three of the following programming languages: Java, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Groovy, C#, C, SQL, and Gradle framework.

Exposure and good understanding of latest tools and technologies like Terraform, HELM etc.

Work experience in projects using container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.

Successful track record in developing applications and automating provisioning of different appliances.

Understanding of Continuous Delivery architecture with appropriate levels of abstraction within multiple architectural layers.

Proficiency in different programming languages and different platforms (MAC, Windows, and Linux).

Experience with the development methodologies (Agile SCRUM).

Working knowledge of multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and industry standard development methodologies.

Experience working in large scale projects and in delivery of complex software components.

Have architectural, design, programming, and debugging experience.

Can design software APIs for customers.

Experience delivering high-quality, scalable software.

AWS/GCP knowledge background and demonstrated examples of using AWS APIs/SDK or GCP.

Knowledge of McAfee Enterprise corporate products is a bonus.
