Position Details

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Technician II to provide support to our Maintenance Supervisor for our facilities located in Eugene, OR. This position will perform preventative building maintenance/repairs, landscape maintenance and improvement projects for these facilities, which include but are not limited to: replacing air filters, inspecting for plumbing leaks, replacing caulking and ceiling tile grout in bathrooms and kitchens; painting as needed; maintaining exterior facility appearance to ColumbiaCare’s standards.

This position may be responsible for weatherizing facilities; assessing and reporting damage to the property Maintenance Supervisor; making repairs to damaged property as assigned; installation of vinyl flooring; building or repairing decking; building fencing; installation of window; remove and/or repair roofing materials; and identifying safety hazards, and communicating issues to the Facility Administrator and the Maintenance Supervisor, and maintaining facility project logs.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

However, must be available to deal with an occasional weekend emergency.

Additional Information:

This position does not normally supervise or assign work, but will occasionally provide training, guidance and oversight of tasks assigned to residents.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Must have general construction and landscape maintenance knowledge and experience

Ability to operate power tools and yard equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relate to Administrators, Residents and vendors; experience in project planning and estimating costs

Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize work and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects

Ability to work independently with little on-sight supervision

Due to project deadlines, some scheduling flexibility may be required

Requires the ability to climb ladders and stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, dig, push, pull and carry up to 75 lbs., stand and walk for long periods of time

Work environment may include indoors, outdoors, and in inclement weather

Must have own reliable mode of transportation to travel to various program locations. (Mileage reimbursement is available)

Must perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner per established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Successful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $17.50 per hour/DOE.
