The Full-Stack Software Engineer plays an essential role in ensuring that complex projects are delivered on time and within budget. They manage a portfolio of clients and must possess a unique mix of hands-on execution, savvy client management, excellent verbal and written communication skills and drive to champion value with BenefitElect clients.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, design, code, test, implement and support all application enhancement aspects.

Utilizes and participates in a complex full system development life cycle, per current SDLC standards.

Collaborates with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

Provides required technical support, including release implementations.

Performs work in compliance with all IT standards, policies, and procedures.

Proactively communicates with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with or conducting more complex technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions, and providing accurate and concise documentation.

Requirements:

Experience with full Microsoft .NET technology stack

Experience with all ancillary technologies necessary for Internet applications: HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.

High scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation

Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development

Good understanding of Web Service protocols such as REST, SOAP and OData

Experience as an applications programmer on large-scale data base management systems

Experience writing SQL queries for SQL Server or another Relational Database is required

Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads

Deep understanding of distributed data model

Extensive knowledge of C# using Visual Studio using Webforms, MVC and Entity Framework

Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment

Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development

Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

Ability to use version control software such as GIT

Working knowledge of IIS

Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Experience and Education:

3-5 years’ experience in comparable positions

Experience with AWS platform preferred

Understanding of payroll/Benefits preferred
