RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Developer in Beaverton, OR.
Summary:As our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Developer, you will conduct ED new implementations, transactions analysis, debugging and testing according to specifications. You will interface with users to determine system requirements and coordinate customer requirements with existing capabilities. You will work with the Application Engineers to design, build, test and implement EDI transactions. You will formulate system scope and objectives and convert symbolic statements of problems into appropriate specifications for coding EDI transactions. You will also provide EDI production systems support, interfacing directly with internal and external Business partners. This opportunity also involves fielding production support calls as the first point of contact, researching and analyzing problems, coordinating the correction of translation errors and re-processing EDI transactions. In addition, you'll collaborate with other IT functions to create and integrate solutions and perform other accountabilities as assigned.Day to Day:The EDI Developer will join the Global Supply Chain & Analytics team. This resource will work directly with the business, retailers, customers and 3PL providers. Responsibilities include technical analysis related to data analysis, data mining and source to target mapping. Additional responsibilities include modifying existing and implementing new EDI standards.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent technical degree Five years of experience with EDI transactions, implementations, & standards is required Experience in IT, business or related experience is preferred, specifically technical or retail customer service Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly Strong customer service and communication skills Results oriented and a drive to make things happen Experience with technical analysis including the ability to define business impacts, discover and recommend solutions Retail industry, Finance and/or logistics systems experience is required Experience or exposure to SAP (Sales and Distribution module) and IDOC's is a plusDesired Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science of equivalent 5+ years of professional experience designing and implementing EDI standards Exposure to SAP (preferably Order Management modules) Excellent communication/customer service skillsPlusses: Prior experience working at this company Prior experience working on an Agile team IDoc (SAP Interface) experienceKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
