Design EngineerGDH Consulting has partnered with a global manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK and is looking for a Design Engineer - CEP to join this custom build team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of satisfactory technical support for sales, manufacturing, and quality. Responsible for coordination of key projects ensuring implementation and execution of approved projects is conducted according to company strategy, customer commitments and company goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review and respond to incoming sales enquiries for new or modified designs. Review of technical specification, application, configuration, and design. Assist customers and distributors with selection of the appropriate technical solution for a given application. Manage inquiries from distributors and customers and generate quotations within customer specified time frame. Conceptual design, cost and lead time estimation of new assemblies and product to meet customer specifications and target costs. Provide technical information and assistance to sales team. To include knowledge of relevant standards, product design details and production processes Detail design of assemblies to include sales approval and manufacturing drawings, tooling design and manufacturing specifications. Carry out technical analysis and testing of new or modified designs for approval. Direct manufacturing and quality for new product introductions. Develop, communicate, monitor, and report on key CEP projects and their schedules, particularly PIT program items. Develop, monitor, and communicate project timelines. Track and clearly communicate project deliverables on a timely basis. Provide customer interface support to project team. Participate in, monitor, and lead approved project change and intervention activity to achieve project outputs. Coordinate and report on project metrics from and to the customer. Locate new suppliers & conduct vendor development activities in support of CEP projects. Focus the project team on a 'plan for success' by evaluating risk and seeking timely contingencies as driven by customer requirements and internal needs. Manage & coordinate Welding certification for Facility & Welding Operators Be Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) for Tulsa site Become technical resource for all Manual and Automated Welding Equipment Develop and implement new techniques and procedures for improving departmental productivity. Provide general technical support to production and quality departments. Provision of a premium delivery service to customers Follow and adhere to ISO 9001-2015 procedures. Collaborate as a member of a global team. Ad-hoc project and administrative duties as assigned by CEP Engineering Manager JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Experience: 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing/engineering/Coded Welding environment Knowledge: Knowledge of ASME Code with respect to pressure vessels, fittings, and preferably welding. Experience in Project Management. Experience in Weld Inspection or has gained Welding qualification. Excellent knowledge of precision welding techniques & welding certification. AutoCAD in 2-D and 3-D. High level of computer literacy. Familiarity with geometric tolerancing, dimensioning and drawing layout. Good analytical and design skills. Customer orientated. Creativity in providing competitive customer design solutions. Excellent communication, credibility, and presentation skills. Self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative.
