Find your future with us.The Boeing Electrical Engineering Core Group is seeking Electrical Engineering Technical Designers – Level 5.The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions to develop, test, and integrate complex electronic hardware units for various systems on a multitude of air and space platforms recognized around the world. The candidate will be a member of a multidiscipline engineering team performing design, development and integration of Group A and Group B hardware responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle including: requirements, system design, test, sustainment, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management.Primary job responsibilities will include:Coordinate, test, troubleshoot and verify complex electronic and electrical requirements in DOORS with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various Boeing systems
Lead work to modify, test, and validate that hardware and software system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Lead the review of supplier and partner qualification data, the development of LRU Design, and the Analysis of custom manufacturing as well as integration of COTS design
Perform cross-functional coordination and integration of design requirements and plans and provide Engineering Support to Supplier Management Procurement Activities
Lead activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services
Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statement, budget, and schedule
Other job responsibilities may include:Lead analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
Lead development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Develop automated test equipment to support aircraft test requirements
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Must have 11 or more years of previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
4 or more years’ experience with PSpice or LTSpice
4 or more years’ experience with DxDesigner
2 or more years’ experience with DOORS Requirements Management Tool
2 or more years’ experience with Capital Logic
2 or more years’ experience with MIL-STD-810
2 or more years’ experience with Mentor tools Suite or equivalent (schematic entry, layout, routing, SI, power analysis)
Must be willing to travel at least 25% of the time as required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis, and/or design for manufacturing
Active U.S. Security Clearance
Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
Previous experience with DO-160
Previous experience in Electrical Design
Previous experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Labview
Previous experience with Relays and Switches
Circuit design, including some of the following:
Embedded processors
High end FPGAs, SOC FPGAs, state-of-the-art memory devices
Standard communications and storage protocols
Low power FPGAs, CPLDs
Power sequencing, monitoring, management
Previous experience with Power distribution design
Previous experience with system and circuit level fault isolation
Previous experience with box level and card level test planning and procedures
Previous experience with developing and coordinating supplier design requirements
