The purpose of this role is to lead the business through a successful, cross-department, Lean-Agile Transformation by analyzing current state, providing guidance on continuous improvement, training teams and leaders on Agile best practices, supporting a network of Scrum Masters, and working with leaders to influence adoption of the culture, mindsets, and processes needed to deliver customer value as quickly and efficiently as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with leaders across departments to influence adoption of the needed culture, mindsets, and processes. This includes stakeholders within operation groups when needed.
  • Working with cross-department Process Improvement Managers and providing guidance on continuous improvement through leading the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE).
  • Supporting the Scaled Scrum Master group through resource planning, providing guidance and education, identifying and leading initiatives, creating and implementing processes and procedures, analyzing metrics, and supporting the Scrum Masters at the team level when needed. Directly leads the Scrum Master TLs.
  • Training teams and leaders on Agile best practices (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, XP, Lean, Scaling, etc.)
  • Creating training and process documentation
  • Analyzing current state in order to determine performance of teams and discover roadblocks or bottlenecks
  • Researching industry trends and solutions in order to strategize resolutions of current state problems within Agile-Scrum Framework

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Agile-related training and certifications required. Such as CSM, ACSM, CSPO, SPC, Lean Six Sigma, etc.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as an Agile Coach or 2 years proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Product Owner at Paycom
  • Advanced knowledge of Paycom software development processes
  • 2 years experience leading teams through a scaling effort,
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • 2 years experience creating and presenting trainings,
  • 2 years experience creating process documentation,
  • Experience communicating with executives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Worked in an Agile environment outside of Paycom
  • 5 years of Leadership Experience
  • 5 years of creating and presenting trainings experience
  • 5 year creating process documentation experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Deep Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, XP, Lean, Scaling)
  • Strong Communication/Facilitation
  • Training/Presentations
  • Emotional Intelligence and conflict resolution
  • Eye for Process Improvement
  • Problem Solving Skills
