Night Shift- Computer OperatorGeneral Summary:Set controls on and submit jobs on the mainframe computer and peripheral devices as required to run production requests and reporting any machine malfunctions that may occur by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate computer equipment to ensure tasks are processed in accordance to a schedule of operations. Maintain daily job logs. Ensure computer tasks are executed properly and report problems to appropriate personnel. Ensure that system backup procedures are successfully preformed regularly according to a predermined schedule. Determines that computer equipment is operating properly and report malfunctions to Supervisor. Ensures that a secure enviroment is maintained for all computer equipment. Ensure all print service are executed with reports ready to be distributed to business units. Maintain an inventory of data processing supplies and inform the supervisor when reorders are necessary. Replace toner in copiers and certain printers in various locations in the building. Call for maintenance on copiers and certain printers as needed.
