Staff Accountant

Description A large, locally owned company in Edmond is searching for a general ledger accountant. This accountant will report to the Asst. Controller and be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, making journal entries, assisting with month end close and special projects. The ideal candidate has an accounting degree and 1+ years of general ledger experience. Great benefits and excellent opportunity for advancement. Skilled with ERP systems

Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Solid understanding of account reconciliation

Microsoft Excel experience preferred

Expertise in journal entries

General ledger experience highly desired

Proficiency in bank reconciliations

Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
