Overview :

Carries out routine patient care assignments, works in controlled patient care situations, performs established nursing care procedures, and engages in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and preventive activities, under the direction of a registered nurse (RN).

The licensed practical nurse (LPN) is trained to perform multiple skill functions pertinent to their clinical area. This position provides care to patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric.

The LPN will perform all duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Memorial Health Center. Makes decisions based on standard practice, instructions, operating directives and established procedures.

May be required with orientation to provide service and / or patient care to other areas of Mercy.

Qualifications :

Education : Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure : Licensed to practice as a LPN in the state of Oklahoma.

Experience :

Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for independent practice.

Preferred Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
