Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a Principal Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance Linux Systems and Infrastructure to support the Human Language technologies efforts for the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. This work will be on site directly supporting the Airman Decision Making Interface and REsearch (ADMIRE) program working with advanced Human Language Technologies. Successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong technical skills to achieve high availability, security, and integrity for the operating environment. They should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Selected candidate maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Team members will be responsible for implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance for their associated environments. Provides for the overall system continuity documentation. #NGSkills

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 6 Years experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years experience with Masters Degree. May substitute four years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. 1. U.S. citizenship with ability to get a TS/SCI security clearance 2. 5 years' experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or RHEL-derived Linux clones such as CentOS or Scientific Linux. 3. 5 years' experience with Perl/Python programming languages. 4. CompTIA Security+ Certification or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certification. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Active TS/SCI security clearance 2.
