If you are an Information Technology professional, Emerson's Climate Technologies business has an exciting opportunity for you! Managing the global IT team responsible for supporting the Oracle platform which delivers financial support includes, but is not limited to, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Time & Attendance. In this role, you will provide resource management, project prioritization, budget management, oversight of solution design and support tasks, prepare project plans and presentations for business leaders across the organization. This position requires a vast breadth of Oracle knowledge and the ability to lead teams to a common objective of fulfilling desired business outcomes. Help guide and lead Oracle Projects from a global view within our IT leadership team. As the Director of Global Oracle Financial Applications, you will:- Be responsible for underlying architecture for Oracle applications
- Direct works of team members ensuring best practices are followed
- Coordinate work between onshore and offshore resources
- Gather and analyze requirements for new applications, or modifications to existing applications
- Develop detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling.
- Be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle application modules
- Conduct end-user training and address support requests across Oracle applications
- Be available for occasional weekend and off-hours on-call support for critical Sev1 issues and scheduled activities
- Lead medium/large Oracle Projects
- Provide solutions guidance to a team of experienced Oracle Analysts supporting many aspects of a Global Team
- Help lead the business objectives and processes, translating this information in the development of reports, rules and applications, and identifying system issues and resolving these issues, and creating test plans on an on-going basis during the creation of the applications.
- Understand business processes and current systems. Understands the needs of the business and recommends enhancements through the application of technologies, systems, and process changes to solve problems or enhance business processes.
- Be the Point of Contact for Functional customers and coordinate work with the development team and track strategy action plans across the platform
- Provide stakeholders with status updates of enhancements and issues
- Support existing Oracle application implementation and contribute heavily to all phases of New Oracle implementations including Oracle 12.2.4 Applications: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Internet Procurement, Internet Expenses, Time and Labor, Cash Management, Project Accounting, Project Billing, Project Costing
- BS or BA Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 12 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Real world Oracle R12 functional experience in Financial settings
- Must be a strong team builder, facilitator, and mentor
- Must be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to document and communicate standards
- Highly effective in negotiations and conducting/leading project meetings driving consensus across a project team
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate and build relationships cross-functionally.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to support global implementations
- Demonstrated ability to clearly isolate and define problems, effectively evaluate alternate solutions and make decisions in a timely manner
- Excellent decision-making ability, ability to operate in ambiguous situations and high analytical ability to judge pros-cons of approaches against business objectives
- Solid leadership abilities, proven ability to facilitate Change Management activities and gains respect from all users across the groups
- Proven ability to lead large global projects consisting of multifaceted and diverse team members and should have the skills to communicate and present to a wide range of people and levels within the organization
- BS or BA Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience plus more than 15 years of experience working as an Oracle Business Analyst in a global environment
- Certification in a related field is preferred
- Multiple end-to-end implementations in the Oracle application suite
