Janitor

This position is set in a manufacturing facility and requires a successful candidate to master a series of steps to effectively clean. High attention to detail and the ability to work independently are needed.

Essential Job Functions:

Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures including refilling dispensers.

Sweep, mop, or vacuum the floors.

Gather and empty trash including waste baskets and trash containers.

Cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.

Handle recycling materials.

Lock and unlock assigned buildings; secure buildings when facilities are not in use ensuring no unlocked windows or doors.

Follow instructions, including those of chemicals and supplies.

Other cleaning duties as assigned

Requirements:

Smiling friendly disposition, willing to greet all you come in contact with daily.

A high attention to detail.

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and fingertips, handle or feel, reach with arms extended over your head.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Occasionally required to climb.

Must regularly lift and move 10 pounds, but up to 50 pounds or a 5-gallon bucket as needed.

Other Skills/Abilities

Ability to stay on task while working independently.

Must have steel toed boots/shoes

Must have safety glasses

Hours:

2nd shift: M-F - 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm

3rd shift: Sun - Th - 10:30 pm to 6:30 am
