Description
Responsible for building visual merchandising skill and capability within Field Leadership and direct reports to deliver a consistent branded emotional experience
This role has regional responsibilities, primary ownership of content development for field organization, and talent development of direct reports.
Direct reports FVM’s and below.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
National Responsibilities)
Develops national Visual merchandising learning agenda, timing and approach
Owns content development for National training agenda.
Builds Visual merchandising consistency nationally and across respective region by building accountability to current Visual Merchandising tools
Oversees, coaches, and develops direct reports, to include but not limited to Field Visual Managers and below
Regional Responsibilities)
Partner with Home Office visual team and utilizing visual merchandising tools to implement ideas and enable superior execution of visual merchandising strategies to field visual team, working directly with RMs and DMs to create a consistent brand experience across territory
Coducts mapping & photo inspections and in store execution along side RM or DM when desired
Conducts effective store visits across the Region’s most critical markets; facilitate, participate and / or observe Regional workshops
Teach effective planning and execution of floor set activities to Field Leadership
Influence hiring decisions at the RM & DM level pertaining to Visual Merchandising skill set
Engage with leadership to provide talent insight, including participation in OLR
Consistently demonstrates the proven ability to develop and retain top talent.
Networks externally and builds an internal bench to maintain a strong pool of candidates
Understand how merchandise flow standards / backroom organization effect floor set cycle, and the overall customer experience
Analyze critical reporting to influence overall business results
Understand seasonal growth strategies
Build on-going knowledge of current industry trends to remain relevant within industry
Share best practices and industry benchmarking ideas
Qualifications
BA in Marketing, Design, Technical, Liberal Arts or equivalent experience
8-10 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising / Presentation or marketing, preferably with a leading fashion specialty retailer or brand.
3-5 years retail management experience, including multi-store capacity
Has managed 3-5 direct reports
Visual Merchandising and Presentation skills including the ability to interpret brand direction
Ability to leverage computer skills; familiarity with Creative Suites preferred
Ability facilitate learning in both a store, classroom and virtual environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Proven ability to ideate and problem solve
Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and remotely
Previous experience leading and coaching direct reports including establishing performance objectives, individual career development support and coaching for success
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Approximately 80% travel required
