Lead and contribute in all aspects of architectural designs.

The TeamThe Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. has its mission to provide a full range of services to our primary client base - U.S. Government agencies and departments. Our primary areas of focus are: Architecture/Engineering (A/E) Services, Defense Program, Design/Build, Classified, and Environmental.Key Responsibilities

May lead a small design team to provide outstanding design solutions

Developing construction documents

Establishing and maintain effective client relationships, anticipating and providing services that exceed client expectations

Beginning to prepare specifications

Leading or participating in the charrette process to completely understand the project requirements

Developing or leading the development of presentation materials

Working collaboratively with all disciplines

Providing sustainable design solutions and supporting sustainability in the work environment

Anticipating and adopting innovations in business digital and technology applications, cultivating innovations

Monitors and ensures compliance with project requirements and building codes

Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent design, visualization and graphic skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting to clients

Proficiency in Revit

Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships

Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve design issues

Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously

Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management

Minimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in architecture from an NAAB or a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
