Local Delivery Driver/Service Personnel (Dayton, OH)

SUMMARY:

The person in this position is responsible for safely driving company vehicles for the delivery and pick up of materials to and from job sites. Also performs warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Assists with all warehouse operating procedures. Clean driving record required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following but are not limited to:

- Safely drive vehicles to designated destinations for customer product deliveries

- Analyze delivery addresses, determine the appropriate route and maintain schedule

- Unload goods as per customer specifications, while continuing to operate within company guidelines

- Review deliveries with customers and collect payments at the time of product delivery as needed

- Follow local and state driving laws and rod regulations

- Load and unload products from trucks

- Report any accidents or injuries to supervisor immediately

- Perform vehicle inspections such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure. Notify supervisor of any repairs and maintenance needed

- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle

- Complete all daily paperwork

PHYSICAL DEMANDS can include but not limited to:

- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, reach over head and strapping material regularly

- Requires the ability to lift and carry loads safely without risk of injury

- Heavy lifting required; must be able to lift 75 lbs.
