General Mechanic

Job Description

A Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of portable and stationary power washers. The technician will occasionally travel to client’s site to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be proficient in both mechanical and electrical applications and have knowledge in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of portable and stationary power washers with their associated fuel systems.

Maintain all service equipment including all test equipment, and tools.

Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating and servicing portable and stationary power washers a plus

Some travel with overnight stay may be required during emergency situations as needed.

Active, current driving license.

Clean driving record.

Pass criminal background check.

Pass mandatory drug screening.

Complete quality major and minor preventative maintenance, inspection and minor repairs on portable and stationary power washers, as scheduled by Operations.

Communicates with sales, operations and customers regarding service and service contract coverage, pricing, terms and conditions and applicable policies. Responds to inquiries regarding new contract obligations and revisions.

Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.

Act with integrity and provide outstanding service to customers and co-workers building an environment of team work and positivity.

Accurately complete and document Work Orders, Service reports as required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.

Employee is often working in ambient temperature and local weather conditions. Precaution and training to heat, cold and noise are required. Eye protection is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma/GED required.

3-5 years of working experience in the maintenance and repair of small engines, power washers, diesel fired heaters a plus

Must be proficient in both mechanical and electrical applications and have knowledge in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of portable and stationary power washers with their associated fuel systems.

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with general supervision.

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
