Job Description

SUMMARY:

We have created a new position for a Supply Chain Expeditor based at our corporate location in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This is an excellent career opportunity with Alside, a division of Associated Materials Incorporated. Reporting to ourProduction Manager, this position will be responsible for developing and delivering improved order fulfillment rates, reporting and training.

This is a second shift position - 4:30pm - 12:30pm

OBJECTIVES:

  • Reduce and eliminate production backlog issues, improving order fulfillment rates
  • Identify and resolve critical production and order flow interruptions or discrepancies
  • Develops and maintains complete and accurate reporting for various stakeholders in the business

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the accurate completion of daily reporting. Brings necessary reports to production meeting as well as informs the management group of trends associated with order related problems.
  • Ability to follow through with issues, resolutions and order fulfillment in a timely and efficient manner. Also must clearly document all actions so that customer service has access to the most up to date information
  • Works with the Customer Service being able to handle a large volume of emails and phone calls regarding issues in the order flow process.
  • Able to research any delivery and/or invoicing issues and discrepancies.
  • Must understand both production scheduling and order flow processes. Must be able to work with Corporate and Production Groups to stream line and improve these processes in order to advance our customer goals with regards to lead time and fill rate metrics
  • Must maintain constant communication between and among customer service, manufacturing and shipping both internal and external
  • Must maintain a high level of flexibility in order to be able to react immediately to various inventory or production issues. With this flexibility must be able to work side by side with production management, customer service and scheduling to rectify issues with lead time and inventory constraints
  • Demonstrate an ability to organize activities and work space, as well as the ability to manage large volumes of reports with high level of detail

  • Plant Shipping and Receiving

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or other related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in coordinating order flow or production in a plant manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail
