WEB CONTENT INTERN

Part-time Web Content Intern Our client is looking for a digital content writer/editor to help create, revise, and curate content for a new community resource portal. This individual will be responsible for a high volume of writing and editing, with an emphasis on improving specialized content to be more concise and readable for a general audience. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for user experience. Candidate should have academic and/or on the job experience with digital content management/editorial and the ability to work within disparate teams of subject matter experts to distill content into a digestible and consistent format across the portal. Candidate should have: • A portfolio of examples where the candidate displays aptitude in distilling specialized information into key concepts• The ability to write and edit content in accordance with a style guide • Ability to quickly integrate feedback from subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy • Experience in organizing content in a clear and simple structure for reading online • Experience in online content production, editing, or communications • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Kentico, SharePoint)• Familiarity with search engine optimization using WordPress• Familiarity with health literacy principles• Time-management skills• Completed an Associate's degree or working towards or have completed a BA/BS degree in English, journalism, communications, or relevant field of study
